We just came back from the Ottawa folk festival where we had a lovely time. Our first workshop was entitled “harmony singing” where we were seated beside a super-good bluegrass group called The Breakmen. Things took a little while to get going, however, as there were more musicians than equipment. Here’s a picture of Mike, Chris, and lap steel player Burke Carroll (who, by the way, has played on both Beige and Toast) trying to figure out what to do. They were like that for ten minutes. (more…)

Invading Ohio and Pennsylvania
August 18th, 2009 by admin We’ve recenly completed a quick jaunt into the USofA which was as successful as we could have hoped for.
It took us a while to get through the border. We don’t know why… they’re really not into chit-chat there. We were just glad that we no longer had to wait while looking at a picture of Dick Cheney… it always felt like his eyes were watching you like the pictures in Scooby-Doo.

The Worms enter the year 2000!
August 14th, 2009 by admin Yes, it’s true, after a big meeting involving many of the brightest scientists of the day, the Arrogant Worms have decided that the internet may be here for a few more years. Seeking to take advantage of this exciting new media they are starting something called a web-log (or “blog” for short) in which they will post their thoughts and opinions which, in the past, would have vanished forever, but will now float freely in cyberspace for eternity or, maybe, just a little less.
